National Australia Day is no cause for celebration for indigenous population

In Australia, the heroic language of colonization is in full effect as government leaders and the ruling (non-indigenous) White population proudly celebrate National Day.  Yet, while "most Australians fire up the barbecue and crack open beers to celebrate national day" this weekend, the indigenous population will lament "Invasion Day."  

Robbie Thorpe, an Aboriginal, says there's nothing to cheer about, because "Colonialism is a disease and this country has got a mental health problem known as denial of their genocidal acts."  Read more.
